Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Sourcebook by Glenn R. Schiraldi Amazon Price: $12.89
Customer Review: Hey there,
This book is unbelievably good. It has essential covering on a wide range of topics. Like shame/guilt, pain, sexual healt aspects. I haven't found any week spots in it.
It has concrete action suggestions, is written clearly and with a relaxed tone that can only come from someone who is educated, has great experience and has got it together completely. It is down to earth and couldn't be better for a non-expert self-healer and one doesn't have to be a genious to use it.
I respect the author much and feel grateful towards him.
By the way I find the book very helpful from time to time on various issues.
Principles of Trauma Therapy: A Guide to Symptoms, Evaluation, and Treatment by John N. Briere, Catherine Scott Amazon Price: $39.56
Customer Review: One of the best books out there on Trauma. Written more for professionals, it is worth a read for anyone else truly interested in learning about trauma and treatment. It's not a self-help book, but could be a valuable resource for someone seeking treatment or seeking to understand a loved one suffering from the impact of trauma.
For professionals, this book is essential if you work with clients/patients with significant trauma issues.

Stop Treating Symptoms and Start Resolving Trauma!: Inside-Out Healing for Su... by Denice Adcock Colson Amazon Price: $14.95
Customer Review: When my now former wife, a client of Ms. Adcock-Colson, began trauma resolution therapy (TRT) we had pinned our hopes that this would resolve the deep pain she was living with. Unfortunately we found that her mental health continued to deteriorate.
My formers spouse's fears, unrelenting emotional pain, and depression eventually led her down a path towards substance abuse, extramarital affairs, and numerous hospitalizations. Almost fifteen years later she still is not doing well and continues to engage in dangerous, unhealthy behaviors. I have spoken with several others that have participated in TRT with similar results.
While I'm not a therapist, I cannot recommend, based upon my experience, on any level the use of TRT for the healing of past trauma, especially Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I would strongly caution any member of the ministry or lay person to refer their clients and parishioners to a qualified therapist for help. Emotional trauma, especially PTSD, needs to be treated using only proven methodologies.
